Editorial Governance

Clinical Research in Internal Medicine is governed by a clearly defined editorial structure:

  • Editor-in-Chief – final authority on all editorial decisions

  • Co-Editors-in-Chief – support editorial oversight

  • Associate Editors & Section Editors – manage manuscripts and recommend decisions

  • Advisors – advisory, non-executive roles

  • Reviewers – independent peer reviewers

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are independent of the Publisher, Journal Manager, sponsors, or advertisers.
All decisions are based solely on academic merit, scientific quality, and ethical standards.

Publication Ethics

The journal adheres to internationally accepted principles of:

  • Research integrity

  • Transparency

  • Accountability

Misconduct includes plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate submission, and unethical research practices.

Conflict of Interest (COI)

  • Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

  • Editors and reviewers recuse themselves where conflicts exist.

  • Failure to disclose conflicts may result in rejection or retraction.

Corrections, Retractions & Expressions of Concern

  • Corrections are issued for honest errors affecting interpretation.

  • Retractions are issued for proven misconduct.

  • Expressions of Concern may be issued where investigations are ongoing.

Appeals & Complaints

  • Authors may appeal editorial decisions with valid justification.

  • Appeals and complaints are reviewed solely by the Editor-in-Chief and handled transparently.

Confidentiality

All manuscripts, reviewer identities, and editorial discussions are handled with strict confidentiality.
